5 Baby Hacks That Will Make Your Life Much Easier

Welcoming a new baby to a family is a very happy occasion, but it can also quickly get very stressful.  Babies need your attention all the time even when they're sleeping, and the excitement can quickly turn into pure madness. Here are a few baby hacks that will save you a lot of time, money, stress and even help you keep your sanity:

1. CHECKING WHETHER YOUR BABY’S DIAPER IS WET

As a mother, you are not expected to frown upon a messed-up diaper.

On the other hand, we are all human, and we will automatically get disgusted by certain things such as poop.  We have to admit that it is not a fun task to open your baby's diaper every now and check whether it is wet or messed up. As it turns out, however, you really don't have to open up the whole thing to check whether you need to change it.

As it turns out, however, most diapers have a yellow line running across that will let you know whether your baby is wet or not. It turns blue in the damp spot and stays yellow on the dry parts.  Genius! This will go beyond protecting your cot sheet sets.

2. KEEPING YOUR BABY BOY’S CLOTHES DRY

This might sound slightly strange, but you have to point your baby's penis downwards. If you leave it facing up, he will most likely pee on his clothes all the way to his tummy and even beyond.

3. SAVING TIME WHILE FEEDING YOUR BABY

If you are a mum, then you can probably remember the many times that you left your baby on the high chair to get a bib.  It only gets more frustrating when the baby notices that you're gone and start screaming their lungs out and you decide; you know what? You are going to feed that baby without the bib. You then regret your decision a few minutes later when the little energetic bundle of joy splatters his food all over his clean white onesie.

To prevent all this drama, you can simply clip a hook at the back of the baby’s high chair and place the bibs there.

4. FIND THE BABY’S SOCKS EASILY

It's always a frantic search whenever those little things get lost. You have five nice pairs one day, and the next you have four different socks, and you can't find the others in your big laundry basket. To save yourself this trouble, tie a mesh bag to your laundry basket where you can put in all the tiny socks. This will help even when they get older and need toddler boots

5. PROTECTING YOUR BABY IN THE OUTDOORS

Sometimes you want to go out to the backyard vegetable garden to weed it or to water your flowers or even to bask a little before getting back to making an evening snack. The most reasonable thing to do might be to bring your baby along in an outdoor cot if they're not asleep, but you don't know how to protect them from the sun or the bugs. Easy! Just place a sheet over the cot.

In conclusion, being a mama can always get easier if you know all the hacks and tips to save you unnecessary work.
